Watermelon Kissed Lemonade Martinis

Watermelon Kissed Lemonade Martinis ~ Mint and watermelon muddled together then shaken with lemonade and vodka creating the perfect cocktail.Watermelon Kissed Lemonade Martini ~ The Complete SavoristLast weekend I was out at my friend Darla’s house for dinner. It was just a low-key affair and utterly fabulous. I love cooking. I love eating out, but occasionally I truly enjoy a home cooked meal by another and Darla is a fantastic cook, one of the best.

ForĀ a pre-dinner cocktail, she handed me this pretty pink thing in a martini glass. I knew the basic flavor profile of lemonade, watermelon, and mint, but hadn’t quite envisioned how it would all taste.

Nothing I could have imaged tasted quite as delicious as this drink is. Fruity, refreshing, not overly sweet, but not overly sour either. I gulped mine down, not bothering to sip the drink, which is how one in refined company drinks a martini.

I love the drink so much, I begged for the recipe so I could share it with you all. She was happy to oblige. And a bonus, this watermelon was freshly garden picked….it doesn’t get much better than that.Watermelon Kissed Lemonade Martini ~ The Complete Savorist

Apologies, it was not meant to be a traditional martini…I usually just say ‘tini’
