Strawberry Lemon Mint Infused Water

Strawberry Lemon Mint Infused Water ~ Steeped strawberries, lemon, and mint in chilled water is a refreshingly delicious way to get your daily intake.

I have been compensated by Oui by Yoplait for this post; however all thoughts, whether glowing, gushing, or otherwise, are my own. Strawberry Lemon Mint Infused Water ~ Steeped strawberries, lemon, and mint in chilled water is a refreshingly delicious way to get your daily intake ~ The Complete Savorist by Michelle De La Cerda No health claims here of this being a detox water, loaded with antioxidants, or that by drinking it by the gallons, you’ll loose a billion pounds in 30 days.

I simply wanted a tasty way to increase my daily intake. That’s all. So I made this Strawberry Lemon Mint Infused Water. And it hit the spot.

For some reason, despite the high temperatures, I am not drinking water like I should be. I think this is just part of my being distracted with a lot on my professional plate right now. I’ve been slightly negligent with a few things personally, namely some personal time and making sure I keep my water and proteins level high.

Of course every time I recommit to my health, I have to run to the store. Funny how these things work. I was in a hurry, so I popped into Walmart to grab all the produce I needed to make this Strawberry Lemon Mint Infused Water and a few other items like yogurt.Strawberry Lemon Mint Infused Water ~ Steeped strawberries, lemon, and mint in chilled water is a refreshingly delicious way to get your daily intake ~ The Complete Savorist by Michelle De La Cerda I was asked to give a new Yoplait yogurt titled Oui, French for yes, a try since we’re serious yogurt aficionados over here.

But what in the world is French yogurt? To say I was curious is an understatement. I liked the description of it being subtly sweet and having no artificial flavors or colors from artificial sources (they use carrots as coloring, how cool is that, move over beets I guess, where color is concerned.)

Turns out this French yogurt is the actual traditional way yogurt is made in France. And this was the style of yogurt Yoplait first sold on the French market back in the day. (Because if you didn’t know, Yoplait is French). We’re just finally cool enough to have it here in the States.

This will not be my breakfast yogurt, although it totally could be. This will be my “I need to walk away from the office and take a break” yogurt. It’s when I will pull out my phone and play my daily crossword puzzle, or entertainingly read my horoscope and see if I am to meet with great fortune or disaster, or you know, call my grandma because I think she feels ignored these days. Oui feels like a dessert when it’s really yogurt, a total win in my book.Strawberry Lemon Mint Infused Water ~ Steeped strawberries, lemon, and mint in chilled water is a refreshingly delicious way to get your daily intake ~ The Complete Savorist by Michelle De La Cerda Between my Strawberry Lemon Mint Infused Water, this tasty Yoplait Oui French yogurt, and forced breaks from work, I am finding a little bit of a ‘me moment’ in my day. Don’t think I can ask for too much more than that, expect maybe a billion dollars, but I’ll settle for a bit of downtime in the meantime.

Oh, I ‘ve already finished off all the cute little jars I initially purchased and have had to run back and pick up some of their other flavors. Which flavors are you most eager to try? Strawberry, Vanilla, Blueberry, Peach, Black Cherry, Coconut, Lemon, or Plain?

Ingredients

  • 3 cups water; chilled
  • 2 lemons
  • 5-7 strawberries; plump
  • 10-20 mint leaves
  • 4 cups ice +/- as needed

Instructions

  1. Wast fruit and slice.

  2. Wash mint leaves and de-stem

  3. In a 2 qt pitcher, add the fruit and mint leaves, ice, and fill to the top with water.

  4. Chill for 2-24 hours before enjoying, the longer, the stronger the fruit flavors will be.

  5. You can add more water 2-3 more times with the same fruit before the potency is lost and the fruit begins to break down.

  6. For really strong flavor, you can muddle everything together, then strain out the solids.

This is the perfect way to encourage me to drink more water! Do you think I could use sparkling water with this too? Sometimes I like a little bubble.
