Sweet-Kickin’ Mini-Smoked Sausages

Sweet Kickin Mini Smoked Sausages ~ The Complete Savorist

For any reason, any time of year, I love me a get-together or a party.  I love to host.  I don’t so much love the stress I give to myself needlessly in preparing for a party, like is my bedroom closet organized, because really, who wanders through people’ s homes looking in random closets, but I’ve heard it happens! I guess the moral of that story is just keep my closets clean.  But I digress.  Having dinner parties is fun, add in a theme like the Super Bowl or the Oscars and great fun will be had.

These mini smoked sausages are great for a Super Bowl party or any other big game day.  First, they are already shaped like mini pig skins, second, they are covered in your favorite barbeque sauce, and third, just enough heat to “put hair on your chest,” a phrase both my grandfathers used to say something was manly.  But I know plenty of women who love their heat (and would prefer no hair on their chests.) The heat is always adjustable.  I am a huge fan of sweet and savory combined, so I tend to make sure there is that sweet component in dishes like these, but if you are not a fan of sweet foods, you can decrease or even omit the sweet elements and still find yourself completely pleased with this dish.
