French Onion Steak Bites

Ingredients

French Onion Dip

  • 1 1/2 cups caramelized onions
  • 1 tsp granulated garlic
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Steak

  • 1-8-10 oz steak
  • Salt/pepper; to taste
  • 2-3 tbsp butter
  • 2-5.96 oz canisters Pringles Original
  • Fresh parsley , loose leaves; torn

Instructions

French onion dip

  1. Mix all the ingredients together, cover, and chill for at least one hour allowing all the flavors to meld.

Steak

  1. Season the steak with salt and pepper liberally on both sides, allow to set for a few minutes.
  2. Heat a cast iron skillet over high heat.
  3. Add the butter and immediately drop the steak.
  4. Do not touch the steak for 3 minutes, allowing it to get a perfect sear.
  5. Flip the steak and allow it to cook for 2-4 minutes, depending on desired doneness.
  6. Remove from pan and allow to rest for several minutes before slicing.
  7. Slice and cut the steak into 1-inch thin strips.

Assembly

  1. When ready to serve, layer the beef on the chip, place a dollop of French onion atop the beef then garnish with a piece of torn fresh parsley. Make the bites as needed for immediate serving.
