Smokey Slow Cooker Pulled Pork gives you all the flavor of an outdoor smoker in a fraction of the time with this easy recipe.
Heat the skillet/frying pan over medium high heat
Add the oil.
Pat the roast dry, season with ¼ teaspoons each of salt, pepper, and granulated garlic
Sear each side of the roast until brown, about 5 minutes; transfer to the slow cooker.
In a large bowl, combine all the remaining ingredients, whisk until combined.
Pour the spiced liquid over the roast in the slow cooker, place the lid.
Cook on low 6, up to 8 hours.
Once done, allow to rest for at least 5 minutes, then shred.
If not serving immediately, replace the shredded meat to the slow cooker with the liquid and place on keep warm.
Serve with optional barbecue sauce on buns.
