If you love your barbecue sauce with a bit of tang, than this Tangy BBQ sauce is for you with its simple mouthwatering ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp butter
  • tbsp water
  • ¼ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tbsp Worcestershire
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • tsp yellow mustard
  • ½ cup dark brown sugar
  • tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp granulated garlic

Instructions

  1. Add the butter to the sauce over medium heat.

  2. Once melted, raise the heat to medium high.

  3. Add the water, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, mustard, and brown sugar; whisk to combine.

  4. Whisk in all the seasonings.

  5. Bring to a low boil for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently.

  6. Reduce heat to medium low, allow to simmer for 7-8 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  7. Remove from heat.

  8. Use immediately or allow to cool, then store in an air-tight container in the refrigerator.

Recipe Notes

Less Tangy BBQ Sauce

Decrease the apple cider vinegar to 2 tbsp for a less tangy version of this sauce.
