Maple Whiskey Glazed Bacon Wrapped Lit'l Smokies will be the hit of any gathering with a rich glaze of maple and whiskey then wrapped in bacon.
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Whisk all glaze ingredients together and bring to a boil in a small saucepan.
Allow to cook at a high simmer for 3-5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Reduce heat to medium-low, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is reduced by ⅓, about a half-hour.
While the sauce is reducing, cut the bacon into four pieces.
Wrap each smokie and secure with a toothpick.
Ladle some of the glaze into a small bowl.
Dip each wrapped mini-sausage into the finger bowl of glaze holding by the toothpick or using a basting brush coat each piece with glaze.
Place them in a single layer in a lined baking sheet.
Bake for 30 minutes.
At the 15-minute mark, give them another quick basting. (This is optional.)
After 30 minutes or when they've reached the desired crispiness, remove them from the oven and allow to cool to touch.
Plate and serve.
