Ingredients

  • 2 tsp Sesame seeds
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup hoisin sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp garlic; minced/grated
  • 2 tsp sriracha; +/- to taste

Instructions

  1. In a heavy bottom sauce pan over medium heat, toast the sesame seeds until they become golden; 2-3 minutes.

  2. Once sesame seeds turn golden brown, add all remaining ingredients to the sauce pan; stir until combined.

  3. Increase heat to medium high and bring to a boil; stirring occasionally.

  4. Allow to boil for 3-5 minutes or until sauce slowly begins to reduce.

  5. Reduce heat to medium-low. Allow sauce to simmer for an additional 10-15 minutes; depending on desired thickness.

  6. Remove from heat.

  7. Allow to cool completely.

  8. Store in an airtight container.

  9. Use a stir fry sauce or as a marinade in desired quantities as needed.

For Dipping Sauce

  1. Add 2 tablespoons more than the desired quantity of dipping sauce to a heavy bottom sauce pan. Over medium-high heat, reduce to desired thickness.
