Blue Cheese Stuffed Bratwursts braised in beer topped with caramelized onions and blue cheese crumbles.
Heat a skillet over medium high heat.
Once hot, add the bratwursts.
Sear and rotate until each side has become deep golden brown; about 8-10 minutes.
Once browned, pour the beer over them, scrapping the bottom of the pan to pull up any stuck on bits.
Bring to a simmer, cover, and reduce heat to low.
Allow to simmer for 20 minutes, turning occasionally.
Warm the buns.
When ready to serve, remove the brats from the pan, allowing the clinging beer to drip into the bun (spoon over more liquid if desired).
Top with caramelized onions and blue cheese crumbles.
Serve and enjoy.
The brats I purchased only had 4 in the pack. Adjust buns, amount of caramelized onions, and blue cheese, if yours has more.
